Concrete Drain Repairs (Units 31-34)

Status: Completed — Project was successfully finished on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

Project Overview

Two storm drain inlets located in the sidewalk area near Units 31-34 had become a safety concern. Over time, the grates had sunken down while the surrounding concrete remained elevated, creating a significant tripping hazard for residents and pedestrians.

This project removed the uneven concrete and repoured a smooth, properly sloped surface to sit flush with the drains, successfully restoring the safety of our walkways.

Scope of Work: SES Construction

The repair focused specifically on the two drains located in front of Unit 31 along the sidewalk.

Removal & Replacement

  • Concrete Demo: The contractor removed the elevated concrete surrounding the two drain inlets.
  • Pour & Finish: New concrete was installed and carefully sloped to meet the existing drain grate, eliminating the trip hazard. The new surface received a standard broom finish.
  • Cleanup: All construction-related debris was cleaned up and hauled away from the property.

Important Project Notes

  • Color Variation: Because the new concrete is fresh, it will temporarily vary in color from the older, surrounding sidewalk concrete due to natural weathering and age.
  • Grate Exclusions: This scope of work was focused purely on the concrete trip hazard. It did not include removing, resetting, or repouring the actual drain grates or the concrete basins beneath them.
